Tony Avella for Mayor

On Sunday, March 30th on the steps of City Hall, Tony officially announced his candidacy for Mayor of New York City.

Tony highlighted three important issues that his campaign will champion:

-Reducing taxes for all New Yorkers.

-Stopping the rampant overdevelopment that is ruining the character and charm of every neighborhood in the City.

-Reforming the Department of Education – eliminating the disastrous “teaching to the test” policy, creating a real partnership with the principals, teachers, unions and especially the parents, who have been left out of the educational process.

In the coming months, Tony will discuss many other issues and suggest changes which will improve the operation and ethical conduct of City government.
